Do you plan on releasing this version as a Kindle ebook?

Hi Robert,

A Kindle version would be fantastic. Unfortunately, I don’t know of any plans by my publisher, Packt, to release a Kindle version. They do have both a pdf and epub version of the ebook here.

What about Safari Books Online? Will your book be added to them soon?

Packt books are on Safari Online, but I don’t know what the timeframe for inclusion is. I’ll see if I can get a Packt representative to respond.

Packt also has a subscription service called PacktLib.

I just recently purchased this book for my Kindle and I am finding that whoever did the translation of the book from print form to ebook form did a very poor job of it. There are numerous points in the book where formatting has ??????? all over the place and there are places where parts of book text are flat-out missing. Below are photos from this book on my 3rd gen Kindle:

(????’s all over)

Could you let me know who I have to talk to about this, because the digital format of this book is going to be useless to me if critical commands are left out of the text. Thanks!

Hi Daniel,

Thank you for purchasing the book. I’m sorry you’re having problems with the Kindle version. I think you will want to contact Packt’s customer service by sending email to customercare@packtpub.com. I’ll ping a few my contacts to see what’s going on, too.

Thank you,
Mike

I send them an email about the issue and got an automated email response back saying they got it. Still waiting to hear back an actual response from a human being over there however. Have you found any more information out?

Daniel, The good thing about writing 3 books for Packt is that I have several cages to rattle :) (Thanks, Neha). You should have received a reply to your support request this morning, and I’m assured that they are looking into the problem.
