I just presented at a couple of conferences and as a consequence of presenting, I devoted a considerable amount of time to preparing. I knew that I’d spend less than two hours using that content in my talk. Wouldn’t it be nice to reuse that content in some other meaningful way?
Recently, one of MoJo Active’s clients presented a talk at a conference and they wanted that talk turned into a whitepaper. Aha! Here’s the answer to my question.
Preparing our client’s talk took tens of hours. Converting the presentation to a whitepaper took me about a day. I was able to write the entire paper from the slide deck because I was already familiar with the topic, card testing.
Now our client has some long term marketing collateral to educate potential customers early in the sales process.
So, now I know what I’m going to do with my Scratch presentations for OLF and CPOSC. How about you? How many talks, workshops, or presentation do you have fragmenting your hard drive? Wouldn’t it make a great whitepaper?
